Description

Hellenic Dreaming – Greek Australian Stories

Presented by The Greek Museum of Adelaide Inc. supported by the Hellenic Studies Foundation, Organisation of Hellene and Hellene-Cypriot Women of Australia (SA) Inc. – OEEGA and Festival Hellenika

This is the South Australian launch of the book “Hellenic Dreaming: Greek-Australian Stories” edited by Dr Helen Vatsikopoulos (in collaboration with the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW)

Dr Vatsikopoulos will talk about what drove this book’s production which showcases the experiences and stories of many well-known first- and second-generation Greek Australians on growing up in Australia.

We will hear from Dr Helen Vatsikopoulos and two contributors: Kay Pavlou and Professor Martha Augoustinos. The launch will also include the announcement of the prize winners for the High School Student essay competition conducted earlier this year reflecting on growing up as third and fourth generation Greek Australians with the first prize winner reading their essay.
